Hello everyone, I've put down instructions how to build standalone P2 with tests. http://wiki.eclipse.org/Equinox/p2/Build. Three more patches are necessary to make it working: https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/16355/ https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/16185/ https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/16183/
After those patches are merged, the build will succeed, although approximately 60 tests will still fail (dropins).
