Great article Vasilis, resumes in very concise manner what I have tried to express so many times. Now, I am thinking 5 years how about alternative currencies. I am also a software developer, and I believe that we should be able to use crypto-currencies for:
"... Commons-oriented currency designed to serve effectively social purposes" So the question really is, how to design such a currency that: "Therefore, we, as commoners, conclude that what we need is a digital currency premised on a different political economy, one breaking the shackles of capitalist opportunism and ushering in a new era of economical transaction based on the finer aspects of the human spirit." I completely agree, and the answer is not technological, but one of design. Any idea how such digital currency could look like? 2013/7/13 olivier auber <[email protected]> > Well done Vasilis!
