I don't know if you or the list knows about it, but the appropedia wiki collects a good amount of this ecowisdom and knowledge at appropedia.org. The wiki technology is still the best p2p tech the internet has dreamed up so far, by the way, and it's over 20 years old. Perhaps I should start a thread about it. The value of the p2p and the internet has actually been quantified now. I wrote up a small piece about it over at the wiki.hackerspaces.org.
