Hi, SIMON Gwendal,

May I ask a question?
Interested in P2P storage and backup systems, I am going to focus myself on
the related research and development works. It is really a pity that I am not
able to apply this exciting position due to my current work. So, I wanna know
sincerely that whether any off-site position is provided.

Thanks for your time!

Best,

Peng Hu

Hi,

The Comptuer Science department of ENST-Bretagne
(http://international.enst-bretagne.fr/welcome/ ) is looking for a developer
for a project about decentralized collaborative backup system.

By now, people involved in this project are scientists focusing on peer-to-peer
and networking fields. We are looking for a developer who will share our
discussions and implement the system. Many approaches are still studied :
structured or unstructured, encryption and erasure code or not, joining an
existing open-source community or starting a new project... Actually, debates
are open, but few codes are expected to run in december 2007 !

Starting : march/april 2007
Length : 8 months
Education : master's degree
Competencies : development and peer-to-peer
Application : please provide a short description of yourself and/or a resume
Salary : depend upon qualification, ~2000 (net) per month (casual flat rental
are less than 500)
Context :
- Brest is a mid-size french city (~300.000 inhabitants in the metropolitan
area) exhibiting nice and stormy yachting and windsurfing facilities nearby
- ENST-B is a french "grande école" located in a beautiful campus overlooking
the Ocean
- the "Computer Science Department" is mostly a french-speaking environment but
all colleagues are conversant in English
- the project also involves the international Eurecom Institute. Discussions
will be in english.
