(I have severs aplenty and would be happy to host for you. Let me know off list and I'll get it set up immediately.)
The P2P in SFC meetup was pretty fun! Maybe a dozen or so folks showed up for a wide-ranging discussion covering just about everything. I thought the highlights were: - What's the top P2P challenge remaining? (Dealing with flash crowds, NAT penetration, creating a truly decentralized currency, etc) - What business or product would you startup today? (Ryan and I are into "The Barrett Fund" -- an estate management service that ensures equitable distribution of your fortune to all descendants for all of time, options include disrupting the legal industry, etc). - What software do you use? (The standards will well represented, but PINE made a surprising showing) That and there were a million small conversations on the inner working of BGP, bridging the gap between one-hope mDNS networks and multi-hop dynamic DNS, the dangers if tying your business to SIP, and more. All in all, a pretty good time, and I'm sure we'll need to have it all over again in another year or so. Perhaps you can join us in SFC! -david > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:p2p-hackers- > [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Wednesday, May 02, 2007 3:10 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [p2p-hackers] mailing list outage > > > Dear p2p-hackers: > > The list has been out of commission for a few days, probably due to an > overheated server.
