seriously, NAT busting is NAT busting.  there is STUN.  there is UPnP,
there is wide cone UDP NAPT, there is half-open tom foolery, etc...
use one of many publicly available NAT busting libs to do this, unless
you feel like reimplementing for the fun of it...

there are even some old conversations on this list in the archives
related to the relative prevalence of different types of NAT's, and
the workarounds possible for them.
