As far as i know, the users behavior does depend on which network they
are participating in. For example, in ones like Gnutella or Kazaa,
session time is very short; while in eDonkey, session time is longer
(one pointed out that because eDonkey is so slow that people tend to
stay there longer in order to finish their downloadings).

I have not seen any published works using real traces of structured P2P
overlay yet. Most of them take traces from file-sharing instead, which i
think may not properly reflect the true behavior of a structured
P2P-based application.
