Just came across Origo (http://origo.ethz.ch/) which apparently uses VamPeer as a p2p substrate for hosting resources (http://origo.ethz.ch/wiki/architecture). Its not clear if this is a truly decentralized architecture where participants' server resources become part of the substrate, or if Origo just uses VamPeer internally for their service (I suspect the latter).
