Based on the information they have on a website, FASP looks like TCP without
in-order delivery, larger in-flight windows and alternative ramp-up logic.
Not sure what they are trying to patent there.
 
Is anyone from Aspera on this list ? It'd be interesting to hear from the
guys directly.

Was wondering if anyone in the group has had any experience with the FASP
protocol (developed by Aspera). It seems to be a UDP based protocol with an
application level reliability layer that boasts huge gains in WAN transfers.
Are there any non-proprietary alternatives?
