I came across Wuala earlier, a self-described "secure, distributed,  
reliable online storage system". Appears technologically similar to  
Tahoe, though with a far more Web 2.0-ish spin, complete with tags and  
whatnot. (And it's proprietary.)

The talk is a nice overview of interesting problems one must tackle to  
build such a system; I imagine it's not news to most on this list, but  
may be interesting to those without a hardcore distributed systems  
background.
