---------------------------------------------------------------------- The Corporate Communications Department of Eurecom Institute has an opening for a researcher in the area of P2P system security. The research will in particular address secure content discovery in a P2P system and the protection of a P2P content distribution process in the face of attacks, in particular denial of service ones. The position involves designing protocols, algorithms, and key management techniques based on the use of cooperation incentives, of social network based approaches, and/or of trusted operating systems. The applicant is also expected to develop a prototype and/or experiment with simulation techniques and/or develop validation methods (e.g., game theory) for the security mechanisms designed. Research will take place in collaboration with a local company. The candidate should have an M.Sc. or preferably a Ph.D. in computer science or electrical engineering. Candidates with a background in security, networking, or distributed systems are especially encouraged to apply. The position, which is for 12 months, will be open from April 2008 on.
