As one of the people making those claims, I just want to point out the
only veil between reality and Flash killing BitTorrent is the
read/write permissions from ActionScript.  I've only dipped my toes in
ActionScript, but I'm not at all convinced there's not a workaround.

The confidence in your debunking claims raises a red flag for me.  I'm
admitting some ignorance on this (on the ActionScript permissions
front), but I'm sorry, I don't think you know as much as you think you
do.
