Hi all, I'm writing to announce the release of the first public version of OneSwarm, a new, privacy-preserving P2P system we're building at the University of Washington. It's based on BitTorrent (and backwards compatible), but includes some new features like search, friend to friend data sharing, permissions, and a web UI with streaming, realtime transcoding, and remote access. It's open source, and clients are available for Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.
The website is here: http://oneswarm.cs.washington.edu/ You might want to check out the overview screencast for a quick summary and demo of the software: http://oneswarm.cs.washington.edu/screencasts_overview.html#screencast_overview Comments welcome. Thanks! -M _______________________________________________ p2p-hackers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zooko.com/mailman/listinfo/p2p-hackers
