but what if you are interested in encrypting, decentralizing and
persisting the Community data for benefit of each member, including
yourself :) ?
Maybe a barter(yeah, i know it's kind of myth) system where you store
something for other person and other person, maybe some other - store
it
for you. Involving Kind of Ratio in torrents. Kind of currency by that, ofc.

hard to argue..

for a FreedomBases i plan a combination of
http://primarypad.com/OeMj2ZnZqo Real-time Concurrent networking (ofc.
it is tricky for a decentralized p2p but, seems like - could be
manageable with our new protocols, to certain degree and, anyway,
better than other social networks:)
+ being, actually a router for Wireless that powers your and your
mates Freedom Device (with HD VideoCalls ofc.), plus an innovative
Augmented Reality server that powers your advanced AR (maybe, even AR
Web if http://www.w3.org/community/ar/ will proceed nicely to that
time) use-cases.
+ a small, silent media center and archive, reasonably fault-less as
your data would be copied somewhere, at least some number of times,
additionally - in one variant - it could
overcome the need in RAID5 or kinds..

But, anyway - the user would pay forward to see if that new reality
could really emerge for him or he'd be a lonely but proud self-hoster.
And, anyway, the user would pay (even so HDDs space and unlimited
Internet is so cheap now in many places, there are other places ofc)
to sustain such a structure, but, anyway - the users are paying to
support corporations, pay with billions, actually.

Maybe i'd need to add the Distributed (Grid) Computing to the scheme,
maybe a potential of Free Search, maybe other goods, but finally the
ratio of acceptance would be here and such a structures would up-rise,
even so they would not be so simple as torrents. That's the hope, ofc.

I'd be happy to research it, if it is for Free :)
