Henry You can bring up your concerns on the merge of the protocols in the Q and A following the presentation on the merge. We will plan some time for Q and A. At the moment, I'm inclined to let the authors work out issues of wording themselves, and I don't really care too much about pre-RFC implementations except how they inform our discussion on how various features work and don't work. So long as the authors take implementation experience into account, I don't worry about pre-standard implementation compatibility.
Clients could be an agenda item, although Im not quite sure how we structure agenda time on the subject. Editor issues will be discussed between the authors and the chairs if/when a draft is made into a WG item. Names are on the table for discussion.
