Cool Jason, I can't wait to play with this.

Hmm, it seems to me that things like this, Tangram, SPOPS, POE,
etc. are all "enterprise modules" and that their development outside
of the formality of whatever P5EE is, is a good thing (this is my
personal opinion).

So, call me stupid, but what are we trying to do deliver with this
effort? I'd just like a list of 3 or 4 things.

My list would be,

  * A generic API for each enterprise area (persistence, messaging,
    etc.)

  * Wrappers that allow existing implementations of enterprise modules
to be used with the above API. Even if the modules hook into J2EE,
    .Net.

  * Some demo apps e.g. Pet Shop. using the above API's & accompanying
    implementations.

  * Some marketting materials/papers/etc. so that people wanting to
propose Perl Enterprise solutions can give these materials to
    their managers.

I'd like to know just how wrong I am. Apologies if this has been
covered before, but i'm sure it will do no harm to reiterate our main
deliverables.

Greg
