Is this true for protocol C too ? Shouldn't protocol C (=synchronous)
ensure write order consitency across devices - otherwise I don't
understand the sychronous part of protocol C wrong.
As you pointed out correctly DRBD can not guarantee write consistency
between several DRBD devices and this is true regardless wich protocol you
use. So for applications like databases that rely on write order
consistency you must not spread e.g. data files and log files between
different DRBD devices but keep them together on one DRBD device.
