Given the fact that whatever is to be moved over from the old wiki _definitely_ needs a human to at least proofread, I think any automated process would be a bad idea. Conversely, copying and pasting and then reviewing, it's helpful that the Mediawiki syntax is actually not too different from the MoinMoin syntax (with the added benefit that anyone who's ever fixed up a Wikipedia article will, at least to some degree, be familiar with Mediawiki syntax). So an approach that I have used for a number of pages is to open the edit interface in the old MoinMoin wiki, copy the text, paste it into an edit window in the new Mediawiki, and then edit for content and syntax in one go. That process is actually remarkably quick. :) Cheers, Florian
