-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2010-6559 2010-04-14 01:11:18 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : libguestfs Product : Fedora 13 Version : 1.2.2 Release : 1.fc13 URL : http://libguestfs.org/ Summary : Access and modify virtual machine disk images Description : Libguestfs is a library for accessing and modifying guest disk images. Amongst the things this is good for: making batch configuration changes to guests, getting disk used/free statistics (see also: virt-df), migrating between virtualization systems (see also: virt-p2v), performing partial backups, performing partial guest clones, cloning guests and changing registry/UUID/hostname info, and much else besides. Libguestfs uses Linux kernel and qemu code, and can access any type of guest filesystem that Linux and qemu can, including but not limited to: ext2/3/4, btrfs, FAT and NTFS, LVM, many different disk partition schemes, qcow, qcow2, vmdk. Libguestfs provides ways to enumerate guest storage (eg. partitions, LVs, what filesystem is in each LV, etc.). It can also run commands in the context of the guest. Libguestfs is a library that can be linked with C and C++ management programs. See also the 'guestfish' package for shell scripting and command line access, and 'libguestfs-mount' for mounting guest filesystems on the host using FUSE. For Perl bindings, see 'perl-libguestfs'. For OCaml bindings, see 'ocaml-libguestfs-devel'. For Python bindings, see 'python-libguestfs'. For Ruby bindings, see 'ruby-libguestfs'. For Java bindings, see 'libguestfs-java-devel'. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: New upstream stable version 1.2.2. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #580016 - aug-ls in guestfish does not take augeas variable as argument https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=580016 [ 2 ] Bug #580650 - virt-inspector warns "No grub default specified at /usr/lib/perl5/Sys/Guestfs/Lib.pm at [...]" https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=580650 [ 3 ] Bug #579155 - libguestfs hangs if qemu doesn't start (in null vmchannel mode) https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=579155 [ 4 ] Bug #580246 - tar-in command hangs if uploading more than available space https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=580246 [ 5 ] Bug #579664 - guestfish doesn't report error when there is not enough space for image allocation https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=579664 [ 6 ] Bug #578123 - virt-df numbers don't match numbers from 'df' inside the guest https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=578123 [ 7 ] Bug #509597 - command "find /" causes appliance to die https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=509597 [ 8 ] Bug #505329 - libguestfs 'make check' should never hang https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=505329 [ 9 ] Bug #576876 - Updates to Spanish translation of libguestfs https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=576876 [ 10 ] Bug #576688 - libguestfs doesn't work on el5.4 host talking to a f12 guest running an ext4 fs https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=576688 [ 11 ] Bug #576689 - libguestfs doesn't support minix filesystem https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=576689 [ 12 ] Bug #569757 - cmd.c contains invalid integer range checks on 32 bit machines https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=569757 [ 13 ] Bug #567567 - guestfish integer (xstrtol) tests fail differently on 32-bit platforms https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=567567 [ 14 ] Bug #570181 - Updated Spanish translation of libguestfs https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=570181 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
