-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2010-10792 2010-07-06 16:23:40 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : mailcap Product : Fedora 13 Version : 2.1.33 Release : 1.fc13 URL : http://git.fedoraproject.org/git/mailcap.git Summary : Helper application and MIME type associations for file types Description : The mailcap file is used by the metamail program. Metamail reads the mailcap file to determine how it should display non-text or multimedia material. Basically, mailcap associates a particular type of file with a particular program that a mail agent or other program can call in order to handle the file. Mailcap should be installed to allow certain programs to be able to handle non-text files. Also included in this package is the mime.types file which contains a list of MIME types and their filename "extension" associations, used by several applications e.g. to determine MIME types for filenames. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Update to include many MIME types recently added to the IANA registry, as well as WebM, JavaFX video, and XML related additions. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Sat Jul 3 2010 Ville Skyttä <[email protected]> - 2.1.33-1 - Update to 2.1.33, fixes #604924. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #604924 - Add video/webm with extension webm to mime.types https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=604924 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
