-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2016-e84b6cb343 2016-09-21 00:35:17.170556 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : mapnik Product : Fedora 25 Version : 3.0.12 Release : 1.fc25 URL : http://mapnik.org/ Summary : Free Toolkit for developing mapping applications Description : Mapnik is a Free Toolkit for developing mapping applications. It's written in C++ and there are Python bindings to facilitate fast-paced agile development. It can comfortably be used for both desktop and web development, which was something I wanted from the beginning. Mapnik is about making beautiful maps. It uses the AGG library and offers world class anti-aliasing rendering with subpixel accuracy for geographic data. It is written from scratch in modern C++ and doesn't suffer from design decisions made a decade ago. When it comes to handling common software tasks such as memory management, filesystem access, regular expressions, parsing and so on, Mapnik doesn't re-invent the wheel, but utilises best of breed industry standard libraries from boost.org -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Update mapnik stack to latest upstream release -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #1328647 - nodejs-mapnik-3.5.14 is available https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1328647 [ 2 ] Bug #1328648 - nodejs-mapnik-vector-tile-1.2.2 is available https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1328648 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
