Name : vala Product : Fedora 27 Version : 0.38.1 Release : 1.fc27 URL : https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/Vala Summary : A modern programming language for GNOME Description : Vala is a new programming language that aims to bring modern programming language features to GNOME developers without imposing any additional runtime requirements and without using a different ABI compared to applications and libraries written in C. valac, the Vala compiler, is a self-hosting compiler that translates Vala source code into C source and header files. It uses the GObject type system to create classes and interfaces declared in the Vala source code. It's also planned to generate GIDL files when gobject- introspection is ready. The syntax of Vala is similar to C#, modified to better fit the GObject type system. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: GNOME 3.26.0 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #1458017 - pycairo-1.15.2 is available https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1458017 [ 2 ] Bug #1490072 - Program terminated with signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. #0 0x00007f16279aa68f in _cogl_boxed_value_set_x () from /usr/lib64/mutter/libmutter-cogl-1.so https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1490072 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "dnf" update program.
