Name : vala Product : Fedora 14 Version : 0.10.3 Release : 2.fc14 URL : http://live.gnome.org/Vala Summary : A modern programming language for GNOME Description : Vala is a new programming language that aims to bring modern programming language features to GNOME developers without imposing any additional runtime requirements and without using a different ABI compared to applications and libraries written in C. valac, the Vala compiler, is a self-hosting compiler that translates Vala source code into C source and header files. It uses the GObject type system to create classes and interfaces declared in the Vala source code. It's also planned to generate GIDL files when gobject- introspection is ready. The syntax of Vala is similar to C#, modified to better fit the GObject type system. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Upstream bug fixes and binding updates -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Mon Feb 7 2011 Michel Salim <[email protected]> - 0.10.3-2 - Own %{_datadir}/vala directory (# 661603) * Mon Feb 7 2011 Michel Salim <[email protected]> - 0.10.3-1 - Update to 0.10.3 * Sun Jan 9 2011 Michel Salim <[email protected]> - 0.10.2-1 - Update to 0.10.2 * Sun Nov 7 2010 Michel Salim <[email protected]> - 0.10.1-1 - Update to 0.10.1 - Improved rpath handling, allowing test suite to run - Drop unneeded build requirements -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #661603 - Vala doesn't own /usr/share/vala https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=661603 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
