Release : 6.fc15

Summary : SyncML client for evolution
Description :
syncevolution is designed to provide a SyncML client that can
connect to and sync with various SyncML-based servers

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:

This update should fix the problem of syncevolution crashing on startup. This
problem is down to an issue with libgdbus: syncevolution has its own private
copy of this which varies considerably from the upstream version. The previous
package built and installed a shared version of this variant library to
(libdir)/syncevolution, but this path is not added to the linker configuration,
so syncevolution cannot dynamically link against that copy. Instead
syncevolution will either try to run against the system libgdbus, which is
different from its private copy (and consequently crash immediately), or not be
able to find any libgdbus (if the system copy is not installed) and also crash
immediately. This build is statically linked against the variant libgdbus as a
quick fix. A longer term solution which upstream has agreed with in principle
is to rename syncevolution's variant of libgdbus and install it systemwide, as
it is now effectively a different library.
