-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2011-9821 2011-07-31 02:57:17 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : apcupsd Product : Fedora 14 Version : 3.14.9 Release : 1.fc14 URL : http://www.apcupsd.com Summary : APC UPS Power Control Daemon for Linux Description : Apcupsd can be used for controlling most APC UPSes. During a power failure, apcupsd will inform the users about the power failure and that a shutdown may occur. If power is not restored, a system shutdown will follow when the battery is exausted, a timeout (seconds) expires, or the battery runtime expires based on internal APC calculations determined by power consumption rates. If the power is restored before one of the above shutdown conditions is met, apcupsd will inform users about this fact. Some features depend on what UPS model you have (simple or smart). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: - updated to 3.14.9 - a lot of fixes in SNMP area - fix shutdown command when utility power has been restored - rework signal handling to eliminate crashes and hangs -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Mon Jul 25 2011 Michal Hlavinka <[email protected]> - 3.14.9-1 - apcupsd updated to 3.14.9 * Wed Feb 9 2011 Michal Hlavinka <[email protected]> - 3.14.8-4 - add readme file to doc explaining needed configuration of halt script * Thu Dec 2 2010 Michal Hlavinka <[email protected]> - 3.14.8-3 - do not attempt to invoke directory as a script (#659219) * Wed Sep 29 2010 jkeating - 3.14.8-2.1 - Rebuilt for gcc bug 634757 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
