-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2011-12152 2011-09-06 23:26:46 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : nip2 Product : Fedora 14 Version : 7.26.3 Release : 1.fc14 URL : http://www.vips.ecs.soton.ac.uk/ Summary : Interactive tool for working with large images Description : nip2 is a graphical front end to the VIPS package. With nip2, rather than directly editing images, you build relationships between objects in a spreadsheet-like fashion. When you make a change somewhere, nip2 recalculates the objects affected by that change. Since it is demand-driven this update is very fast, even for very, very large images. nip2 is very good at creating pipelines of image manipulation operations. It is not very good for image editing tasks like touching up photographs. For that, a tool like the GIMP should be used instead. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: http://www.vips.ecs.soton.ac.uk/index.php?title=What%27s_New_in_7.26 * New operations * More permissive operators * Better file format support * Faster nip2 * VIPS rewrite -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Sat Sep 3 2011 Adam Goode <[email protected]> - 7.26.3-1 - New upstream release + New operations + Faster! * Fri Aug 12 2011 Adam Goode <[email protected]> - 7.24.2-1 - New upstream release + Workspace as Graph mode + Better nibs in paintbox * Tue Feb 8 2011 Fedora Release Engineering <[email protected]> - 7.22.2-4 - Rebuilt for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_15_Mass_Rebuild -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #735356 - Vips 7.26 has been released. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=735356 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
