Name : freedv Product : Fedora 36 Version : 1.8.4 Release : 2.fc36 URL : http://freedv.org Summary : FreeDV Digital Voice Description : FreeDV is a GUI application for Windows and Linux that allows any SSB radio to be used for low bit rate digital voice. Speech is compressed down to 1400 bit/s then modulated onto a 1100 Hz wide QPSK signal which is sent to the Mic input of a SSB radio. On receive, the signal is received by the SSB radio, then demodulated and decoded by FreeDV. FreeDV was built by an international team of Radio Amateurs working together on coding, design, user interface and testing. FreeDV is open source software, released under the GNU Public License version 2.1. The FDMDV modem and Codec 2 Speech codec used in FreeDV are also open source. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: * Update hamlib to 4.5 * Update freedv to 1.8.4 * Update codec2 to 1.0.5 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Tue Nov 8 2022 Richard Shaw <[email protected]> - 1.8.4-2 - Rebuild for hamlib 4.5. * Mon Nov 7 2022 Richard Shaw <[email protected]> - 1.8.4-1 - Update to 1.8.4. * Thu Aug 4 2022 Scott Talbert <[email protected]> - 1.6.1-7 - Rebuild with wxWidgets 3.2 * Thu Jul 21 2022 Fedora Release Engineering <[email protected]> - 1.6.1-6 - Rebuilt for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_37_Mass_Rebuild * Sat Jul 9 2022 Richard Shaw <[email protected]> - 1.6.1-5 - Rebuild for codec2 1.0.4. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "dnf" update program.
