Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2011-12840
2011-09-17 19:29:50
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name : dnsmasq
Product : Fedora 16
Version : 2.58
Release : 2.fc16
URL : http://www.thekelleys.org.uk/dnsmasq/
Summary : A lightweight DHCP/caching DNS server
Description :
Dnsmasq is lightweight, easy to configure DNS forwarder and DHCP server.
It is designed to provide DNS and, optionally, DHCP, to a small network.
It can serve the names of local machines which are not in the global
DNS. The DHCP server integrates with the DNS server and allows machines
with DHCP-allocated addresses to appear in the DNS with names configured
either in each host or in a central configuration file. Dnsmasq supports
static and dynamic DHCP leases and BOOTP for network booting of diskless
machines.

Update Information:

This update corrects a bug in the previous package, which enabled the dnsmasq
service on upgrade from previous versions, even though the service has never
been enabled by default. This should not be done, and it causes problems for
NetworkManager and libvirt.
includes systemd changes and increase the version from 2.52 to 2.58
