-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2012-0161 2012-01-07 22:24:15 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : mod_perl Product : Fedora 16 Version : 2.0.5 Release : 7.fc16 URL : http://perl.apache.org/ Summary : An embedded Perl interpreter for the Apache HTTP Server Description : Mod_perl incorporates a Perl interpreter into the Apache web server, so that the Apache web server can directly execute Perl code. Mod_perl links the Perl run-time library into the Apache web server and provides an object-oriented Perl interface for Apache's C language API. The end result is a quicker CGI script turnaround process, since no external Perl interpreter has to be started. Install mod_perl if you're installing the Apache web server and you'd like for it to directly incorporate a Perl interpreter. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Package dependency fixes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Thu Jan 5 2012 Ville Skyttä <[email protected]> - 2.0.5-7 - Ship Apache::Reload and Apache::SizeLimit in main package (#748362). - Require Linux::Pid for Apache::SizeLimit (#766568). - Move Apache::Test* man pages to -devel. - Don't filter Module::Build dependency. * Wed Nov 9 2011 Joe Orton <[email protected]> - 2.0.5-6 - fudge the LFS test (#730832) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #766568 - Apache::SizeLimit needs to require perl(Linux::Pid) https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=766568 [ 2 ] Bug #748362 - mod_perl requires mod_perl-devel erroneously https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=748362 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
