-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2012-4172 2012-03-20 05:51:18 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : mingw-bzip2 Product : Fedora 17 Version : 1.0.5 Release : 13.fc17 URL : http://www.bzip.org/ Summary : MinGW port of bzip2 file compression utility Description : Bzip2 is a freely available, patent-free, high quality data compressor. Bzip2 compresses files to within 10 to 15 percent of the capabilities of the best techniques available. However, bzip2 has the added benefit of being approximately two times faster at compression and six times faster at decompression than those techniques. Bzip2 is not the fastest compression utility, but it does strike a balance between speed and compression capability. This package contains development tools and libraries for use when cross-compiling Windows software in Fedora. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Add win64 support to various mingw packages -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #802161 - Review Request: mingw-w64-tools - Supplementary tools which are part of the mingw-w64 toolchain https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=802161 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
