Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2025-75d5e2c1ff
2025-12-24 01:26:18.266025+00:00
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name : python-pam
Product : Fedora 42
Version : 2.0.2
Release : 14.fc42
URL : https://github.com/FirefighterBlu3/python-pam
Summary : Pure Python interface to the Pluggable Authentication Modules
system on Linux
Description :
This module provides an authenticate function that allows the caller to
authenticate a given username / password against the PAM system on Linux.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:

New upstream release with updated networking code. The requests should no longer
trigger Anubis blocking. The update to python-pam drops its undeclared
dependency on six. python-productmd was the last package causing six to be
included in the installer environment, but this release drops that dependency,
which exposed that python-pam had an undeclared dependency on six, causing the
installer to fail to start correctly. We fix this by dropping python-pam's usage
of six entirely, so the update no longer breaks the installer.
