Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2025-6b65552230
2026-01-09 17:20:33.079023+00:00
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name : postgresql16-postgis
Product : Fedora 43
Version : 3.6.1
Release : 1.fc43
URL : https://www.postgis.net
Summary : Geographic Information Systems Extensions to PostgreSQL
Description :
PostGIS adds support for geographic objects to the PostgreSQL object-relational
database. In effect, PostGIS "spatially enables" the PostgreSQL server,
allowing it to be used as a backend spatial database for geographic information
systems (GIS), much like ESRI's SDE or Oracle's Spatial extension. PostGIS
follows the OpenGIS "Simple Features Specification for SQL" and has been
certified as compliant with the "Types and Functions" profile.

Update Information:

Introduce postgis builds for each available postgres version.
