FEDORA-2026-7ab33aa6c2

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name : python-trio
Product : Fedora 45
Version : 0.34.0
Release : 1.fc45
URL : https://github.com/python-trio/trio
Summary : A friendly Python library for async concurrency and I/O
Description :
The Trio project aims to produce a production-quality, permissively licensed,
async/await-native I/O library for Python. Like all async libraries, its main
purpose is to help you write programs that do multiple things at the same time
with parallelized I/O. A web spider that wants to fetch lots of pages in
parallel, a web server that needs to juggle lots of downloads and websocket
connections simultaneously, a process supervisor monitoring multiple
subprocesses... that sort of thing. Compared to other libraries, Trio attempts
to distinguish itself with an obsessive focus on usability and correctness.
Concurrency is complicated; we try to make it easy to get things right.

Update Information:

trio 0.34.0 (2026-08-10)
Features
MemoryChannelStatistics now has a peak_buffer_used field, which reports
the largest number of items that have ever been in the channel’s buffer at
once. This makes it easier to pick a sensible max_buffer_size based on
data from a real run, instead of guessing.
Support Python 3.15, as of beta 4. Things may still change and so this
support may break in the future.
Bugfixes
Nursery.start() now preserves the __cause__ and __context__ of
exceptions raised before task_status.started() is called.
Fixed incorrect error message in run_process: the stdout pipe check now
correctly says "stdout" instead of "stdin".
Fixed trio.Path.as_uri() on Python 3.14+ to avoid the deprecated
pathlib.PurePath.as_uri() path.
Fixed trio.to_thread.run_sync workers leaking spawner's Context on py314t+ free-
threaded builds.
Deprecations and removals
Trying to use absolute deadlines on a trio.CancelScope constructed
with a relative deadline now raises, after being deprecated since Trio
0.27.0.
To switch a cancel scope from being relative to absolute, replace the
trio.CancelScope object instead of trying to mutate it.
