-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2012-17946 2012-11-10 19:30:31 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : nickle Product : Fedora 18 Version : 2.77 Release : 1.fc18 URL : http://nickle.org Summary : A programming language-based prototyping environment Description : Nickle is a programming language based prototyping environment with powerful programming and scripting capabilities. Nickle supports a variety of datatypes, especially arbitrary precision numbers. The programming language vaguely resembles C. Some things in C which do not translate easily are different, some design choices have been made differently, and a very few features are simply missing. Nickle provides the functionality of UNIX bc, dc and expr in much-improved form. It is also an ideal environment for prototyping complex algorithms. Nickle's scripting capabilities make it a nice replacement for spreadsheets in some applications, and its numeric features nicely complement the limited numeric functionality of text-oriented languages such as AWK and PERL. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Handle OpFarJump in CompileReachable Upstream release includes a revamped tutorial, which will be released in the next Fedora update due to problems building the documentation -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #873995 - nickle-2.77 is available https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=873995 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
