-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2013-12212 2013-07-03 03:13:03 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : os-prober Product : Fedora 19 Version : 1.58 Release : 3.fc19 URL : http://kitenet.net/~joey/code/os-prober/ Summary : Probes disks on the system for installed operating systems Description : This package detects other OSes available on a system and outputs the results in a generic machine-readable format. Support for new OSes and Linux distributions can be added easily. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: This update reverts the 'fix' to UEFI OS detection from 1.58-2.fc19 temporarily. That fix requires a change to grub2 which has not yet been done: providing it without the grub2 fix makes the situation worse rather than better. When the associated fix in grub2 is available, we will re-apply the os-prober patch and update grub2 and os-prober together. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Tue Jul 2 2013 Adam Williamson <[email protected]> - 1.58-3 - revert factored-logger-efi-fix.patch until grub2 is updated to match * Tue Jun 18 2013 Hedayat Vatankhah <[email protected]> - 1.58-2 - Fix a bug in EFI detection because of redirecting result output -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #873207 - UEFI: No entry in grub2 menu for windows8 in dual boot setup install https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=873207 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program. Use su -c 'yum update os-prober' at the command line. For more information, refer to "Managing Software with yum", available at http://docs.fedoraproject.org/yum/.
