-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2013-13881 2013-07-30 15:13:27 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : mapnik Product : Fedora 19 Version : 2.0.2 Release : 2.fc19 URL : http://mapnik.org/ Summary : Free Toolkit for developing mapping applications Description : Mapnik is a Free Toolkit for developing mapping applications. It's written in C++ and there are Python bindings to facilitate fast-paced agile development. It can comfortably be used for both desktop and web development, which was something I wanted from the beginning. Mapnik is about making beautiful maps. It uses the AGG library and offers world class anti-aliasing rendering with subpixel accuracy for geographic data. It is written from scratch in modern C++ and doesn't suffer from design decisions made a decade ago. When it comes to handling common software tasks such as memory management, filesystem access, regular expressions, parsing and so on, Mapnik doesn't re-invent the wheel, but utilises best of breed industry standard libraries from boost.org -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Update to the 2.0.2 release for postgis 2.x compatibility. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Mon Jul 29 2013 Tom Hughes <[email protected]> - 2.0.2-2 - Update to 2.0.2 release -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #988389 - Mapnik (2.0.0-13.fc19) not compatible with current PostGIS (2.0.3-1.fc19) https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=988389 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
