-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2013-18239 2013-10-04 00:39:48 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : glibc Product : Fedora 20 Version : 2.18 Release : 11.fc20 URL : http://www.gnu.org/software/glibc/ Summary : The GNU libc libraries Description : The glibc package contains standard libraries which are used by multiple programs on the system. In order to save disk space and memory, as well as to make upgrading easier, common system code is kept in one place and shared between programs. This particular package contains the most important sets of shared libraries: the standard C library and the standard math library. Without these two libraries, a Linux system will not function. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: - Allow ldconfig cached objects previously marked as hard or soft ABI to now become unmarked without raising an error. This works around a binutils bug that caused objects to become unmarked. (#1009145) - Fix check for PI mutex on non-x86 systems (#1007590). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #1009145 - ldconfig warns of mismatch elf e_flags on armv7hl on upgrade https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1009145 [ 2 ] Bug #1007590 - Black screen after F20 graphical install on PPC64 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1007590 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
