I have had a new look at the package once again, and the compiler doesn't work in Fedora 12 (some problem with C++ headers I think). There's no new release that would address the compatibility problem; anyway upstream seems to lag quite a bit behind gcc releases. All in all, I think I'll give up - maintaining this package would be a huge workload, since it seems to break down in each new release of Fedora.
