There is no guarantee that other packages built > with newer gtk work with older gtk. Yes, this will likely become an issue for other distros, too. If I fix the xml file manually, I fear that glade will break it again, so I believe the only choice is to move that specific ui code out into C. On a side note, looks like gconf was suddenly labeled depricated for gsettings with 2.19.
