I'd probably suggest that you need to tweak things slightly.

Fedora policy indicates that while private libs can go into %{_libdir}/snapd,
helper programs and such should be in %{_libexecdir}/snapd (though
%{_libdir}/snapd is allowed if it's not possible to make it work in the
preferred path). In Fedora, %{_libexecdir} is defined as /usr/libexec. See the

I suspect that your --libdir is really supposed to be a --libexecdir, since I
doubt you're interfacing with snap-confine via a C library to snapd.
