The only catch is I was only able to build against EL7 by providing a fix to a
library I depend on (that someone else maintains).  They provide the library
for Fedora but not EL7. I created a bugzilla ticket here explaining how to make
it work with EL7: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1720857

In the meantime I'm compiling/building it myself on COPR here:
