Yes. Weak dependency (for mplayer) may not work for cross-repos.

Though I fail to remember why added CC0 as well. Propably suggest from
licensecheck script.

Indeed, packaging version 1.12 seems to be very conservative. Going to take a
closer look into more current version with obviously more 3rd-party support,
besides fixes.
