I wasn’t doing it quite right to begin with, and I hadn’t updated it for python-opencensus-proto co-owning %{python3_sitelib}/opencensus. I was able to reproduce the build failure you reported in COPR. It’s extremely strange, because it builds just fine on Koji (https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=72559908).
