The DOSBox community has for many years operated well (and continues to operate well) with the DOSBox project providing 99%+ game support coverage. This list: https://www.dosbox.com/comp_list.php?letter=a, shows DOSBox supporting over 1000 games, however we know DOSBox actually supports 7000+ games. Users wanting extra features, such as those authored by community members, have used patched builds such as DOSBox ECE or forks like DOSBox-X. I see DOSBox Staging squarely falling into this category.
