I have filed a PR with upstream about excluding all problematic files from published crates: https://github.com/utkarshkukreti/select.rs/pull/79 In the meantime, it is straightforward to drop the "select" dependency from mdbook by dropping a few tests. So this review should no longer block the mdbook review.
