I am here as Scilab upstream developer who is helping on getting JOGL and all Scilab's reverses dependencies. I am also packager of Scilab under Debian and most of its dependencies. It is why I am helping here. I am however not a Fedora/Redhat user nor contributor... Sorry By the way, JOGL and Gluegen are not time consuming packages to maintain. They are pretty stable. I packaged recently the version 2.0 rcX into Debian without too much issues.
