I believe this is already addressed.
From my perspective the package can be approved, since the spec files uses now
the following:

%global         soversion 0
libmbd.so.%{soversion}
libmbd.so.%{soversion}.*

However I've not tried to use the resulting RPM for linking, so cannot confirm
it works as expected.
