By HyperV vm do you mean the vmware windows vm with hyperv in it, or do you 
mean the hyperv vm i can create manually inside the windows vm? The windows 
vmware machine can definitely connect to the internet. The manual hyper-v 
images might not be able to right off if my memory is correct.
