Hi

I’m new to Packer and currently using vmware-iso and esx to build my images.

For local testing I want to use a post-processor to output a .box file that
will work with virtualbox and vagrant. is this possible? is there any
examples i can reference?

I added “provider”: “virtualbox” to my post-processor but this throws an
error [image: :frowning:]

I can successfully build VMWare images and the vagrant post-processor is
outputting a .box file with type = vagrant but when I try it in Vagrant,
although the box provider is virtualbox I get an error that it cant open
the file.

when I do a vagrant box list it shows it as win2016_master (vmware_desktop,
0)

Thanks
Stephen
