The Packer team is excited to announce the release of Packer v1.7.5. This
release contains improvements to HCL2 support in Packer, plugin upgrades to
bring in some of the great community contributions, and, lastly, some core
refactors for connecting Packer to the HCP Packer registry. For a complete

*Notable Changes:*
- The hcl2_upgrade command can successfully migrate the strftime
function from JSON to HCL2.
- File provisioner has a new `content` attribute that can be used for
specifying the source contents to be copied to some remote file.
*Notable Bug Fixes: *
- Fix `{{packer_version}}` interpolation regression for HCL and JSON
templates.
- hcl2_upgrade will no longer panic when executed against a non-existent
file.
- packer-plugin-azure has been updated to address a vulnerable
dependency in azure-sdk-for-go.
- packer-plugin-googlecompute has been updated to fix an issue when
building an instance via an IAP tunnel.
